What is WriteDiary?

WriteDiary is a free service to keep track of your past and think about your future. You can make predictions about what will happen and see if they come true, and you can see how you changed over time, and read over memories, having a few laughs. It's the funniest, quickest and easiest way to document your life through a series of notes. Tap down a note or a thought on your notebook, mobile phone or tablet and transform it into a memory to keep around forever.

How much is your app?

Where does the name come from?

When we were researching a nice name we decided that it had to be related to writing a diary, and both write.com and diary.com was not available for domain registration. So we figured why not combine the two?

How did the idea come about?

We like to be melancholy, writing daily notes and reading them over. We always assumed taking interesting notes required a big bulky paper books. But as mobile phones got better and better, smaller and smaller, we decided to challenge that assumption. We created WriteDiary to solve three simple problems:

1. Traditional paper diaries not in your pocket at all times. A online and mobile diary makes it almost always accessable.
2. Making copies and backup of your paper diary is a pain - write a note once, then access it (instantly) on multiple services.
3. Most diary experiences are clumsy and take forever - we've optimized the experience to be fast and efficient.

What other services are you compatible with?

Going forward, we plan on supporting additional services but have nothing else to announce at this time.

How does privacy work?

Privacy with us is very simple. Nobody can read your notes, except yourself. Nothing is "public" by default on WriteDiary. We do, however, plan to have a special "publish" and "share" option. In this mode, a user will be able to post and share diary entries to Facebook, Twitter or on his own public diary blog. But we have nothing more to announce at this time.

Who can see my entries?

All entries are private by default which means they are not visible or can not be read by anyone using WriteDiary.

How can I print my entries?

We can send your all your notes to your email. You can then unzip this file and print as many as you'd like. You may also print any diary entry directly from the web browser.

When are you going to make the app for Blackberry, Windows Phone 7, iPad, etc?

For now, we only have an Android app available, it's called Diary Notes. We are currently working on making the Web amd Android experiences as solid as possible. Only then will we consider other platforms, but currently we have nothing to announce.

How do i create a diary?

You need to register with an email and password. (Signup)

Can my entries be read by others?

No.

How many diaris can I have?

You can have only one diary per registered email address. To create a second diary, you can register with a second email address.

If I would like, Can i delete my entries?

Yes. Every entry you make to your diary can be edited or deleted individually.

Can I add photos to my diary entries?

No. Not at the moment, but we will maybe add this feature in the future, but currently we have nothing more to announce.
